If you plan on attending EDUCAUSE this year (2009), there will be a variety of activities related to Kuali that you are invited to join.  Please also share this with others inside or outside the community as all are welcome!

1. RECEPTION:  There will be a community source reception on Wednesday, 11/4 at 6:15pm in the Hyatt Centennial AB on level 3.  Invitations will be sent out in a couple of weeks, but all are welcome.  This reception is listed in the program.  This is a joint reception being hosted by Kuali and also Sakai, Jasig and Duraspace.
2. BOF:  We have coordinated a Birds of a Feather session during the time slotted at the conference for that purpose, which is Wednesday 11/4 at 4:45pm.  The session will take place in room 603 of the Convention Center, and is posted on the BOF Board.  I am hoping that this time right before the reception will generate some good discussion.
3. SESSIONS:  There are some sessions at the conference being presented by Kuali members.  These are:
   • rSmart: Colorado State Shares its Conversion to Kuali Financial System (Tuesday, November 3, 2009 - 11:30AM - 2:00PM)
   • You Can't Change Learning with that Old Curriculum Management System: Designing the Next-Generation Curriculum Management System (Wednesday, November 4, 2009 - 3:50PM)
   • Designing Services within an SOA Student Information System (Wednesday, November 4, 2009 - 4:55PM to 6: 10 PM)
4. “ASK ME” BUTTONS:  We have buttons that all of us can wear during the conference to provide opportunities for networking.  These are the “Ask Me About Kuali” buttons.  If you have a button already, please bring it to the conference and wear it.  If you don’t have a button and would like to get one, please send your request (with your address, phone, and e-mail ID) to Robin Walker at walkerrm@indiana.edu and she will send you one.  If you’d like a few to have for your team, she can send as many as you need.
