Resource Guide
There is such a wealth of resources available to learn about Kuali that it can be overwhelming. This page is meant to provide a guide to these resources in order to help you find the information you need. We start with "high-level" resources for people new to Kuali, and drill progressively deeper for people more and more experienced with Kuali projects and software.
Although all of the resources cited on this page are available to the public, some of them contain restricted information as well. Kuali community members who need access to these systems should read the Kuali Toolset wiki page for instructions.
No matter what your interest level in Kuali is, we recommend that everybody learns how to stay up-to-date on Kuali developments and events by visiting our follow Kuali page. We have tried to make it easy to follow Kuali by piping our News and other feeds to facebook and twitter.
High Level
- Project Websites - for information on specific Kuali projects, the first place to go is the project websites. The PROJECTS menu at your left is an easy and convenient spot to jump to any Kuali project website.
- Frequently Asked Questions - we have compiled a number of frequently asked questions concerning the Kuali Foundation as well as the individual Kuali Projects.
- Tutorials - we collect links to helpful resources such as webinars and demonstrations on our Tutorials page
- Test Drive - if you want want to demo Kuali software, our Test Drive home page contains links to Test Drive sites for KFS and KC. As new software rolls out, check for Test Drives for Kuali Student and standalone Kuali Rice!
- The Business Case - we gather resources helpful for building the business case for adopting Kuali software at your institution on our Business Case page.

Diving Deeper
- Downloading -Kuali software source-code can be downloaded an used for free on our Downloads page.
- Using the Wiki - Kuali uses an Atlassian product called Confluence to create and manage most documentation. Located at http://test.kuali.org, most information is open to the public. You can also create an account on this system, which will allow you to get updates through RSS when the pages that interest you are updated. - Using Sakai CLE listservs -The Sakai Collaboration and Learning Environment (CLE) handles most of Kuali's listservs. By signing up for an account on Kuali's Sakai server you will have access to choose from a number of different public mailing lists that will let you follow specific topics of your interst.
- Finding Support -Kuali Commerical Affiliates (KCAs) provide different types of support to evaluate and use Kuali software. Our support page has a list of current KCAs.
- Evaluating and Adopting - learn about additional resources for people who are evaluating and using Kuali software
In the Trenches
- Jira - Kuali uses Atlassian's Jira as a bug and feature tracking system, found at http://test.kuali.org/jira. On Jira you can follow the work being done on features and bugs at a very granular level.
- SVN -Kuali's source-code management system, Subversion (SVN), can be accessed read-only by the public. To explore our repository and see details about the evolution of our codebase. point your browser to http://test.kuali.org/svn
